Vaughn Reese
I am the oldest son of Myrtle and Elmer, have two brothers Gary and
Wayne-all graduates of Brush High School in Lyndhurst, Ohio. During the mid-point of my first two careers at Hiram College and the U.S. Army, I married a Geneva girl, Donna Prentice, in 1954. July 3rd will be our 52nd anniversary. Our son, Matt and twin daughters, Amy and Beth-all graduates of Madison High School-are aspiring medical students. Amy has almost completed her first year at Loma Medical School in California. Beth has been accepted and will be joining her next year. Matt is preparing to enter medical school at the University of Arizona while he and Cindy raise our three grandchildren (Mary, Mark, Erin and Sarah). Donna and I have been residents of Madison for 42 years. Donna, a member of the Seventh - day Adventist church for 22 years, worked as the Receptionist for 5 years at Geneva Clinic with Gyla Castle, whose husband Charles worked for Behms for many years. She also retired from Chardon Peebles Department Store after 71/2 years. I have been an active member of Chapel United Methodist Church for 26 years. I once taught high school English at Geneva and Perry for 18 years before writing procedures for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. After retirement from First Energy, I worked for Carte Lumber in Madison and Peebles Department Store in Chardon before assisting the Funeral Directors at the Behm Family Funeral Home.
No, Bob Reese and I are not related, but I enjoy working with him and think of him as a brother.
Yes, Jack Sargent (a former standout student in my class) is still a politely inquisitive, service oriented, and genuinely enthusiastic member of the Behm Team. Every one here is helpful, cooperative, and committed to provide the best service possible; and I consider myself fortunate to be a small part of this family business.
