Barbara S. (Stevens) Loy, age 69, of Mentor, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in Geneva, Ohio. She was born August 9, 1949 in Cleveland, to the late Joseph and Alice (Bunch) Stevens. She married Norman Loy in 1971 and was a home maker and loving caregiver to their daughter Heather, who passed away at a young age in 2008. She loved the summertime and could be found enjoying the flowers she had grown in her garden. Barbara was very religious and became a faithful Catholic in 1998. Her faith encouraged her to give up modern day conveniences as she devoted herself to a simple and faithful life.
Barbara is survived by her son, Matt (Gena) Loy; and grandchildren, Matthew, Tallula, Arwen and Grady. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman; and her daughter, Heather.
The Behm Family Funeral Home of Madison is assisting the family.
