Betty A. “Ma” Baily, age 81, of Geneva, Ohio passed away November 29, 2016 at Geauga Medical Center. She was born February 10, 1935 in Jefferson, Ohio to the late Harry and Ann Lizewski.
Betty will always be remembered by her family as a caring, devoted mother; fun-loving grandmother; and a generous spirit. She was a sports fanatic but favored The Cleveland Browns, Cavs and Indians. Betty would enjoy watching any sport on television except golf. Some of her hobbies included; gardening gladiolus and vegetables, baking lemon-meringue and apple pies, spoil the neighborhood kids with her bowl of candy, and taking care of her foster pets.
Betty is survived by her five children, Colleen Perkins of Geneva, William (Deidre) Baily of Saybrook Township, Bruce (Kelly) Baily of Madison, Brenda (Robert) Simpson of Jefferson, and Michelle Baily-DeFina of Geneva; sister, Jenny Fuller of Cleveland; sister-in-law, ‘Aunt’ Mary Lewis; grandchildren, Jamie (Krista) Moran, Christopher (Krysta) Moran, Jessica (Neal) McLoskey, Jennifer Perkins, Carol Perry, Donald Perry, Jr., Candice (Ricky) Enriquez, Brandon (Robin) Baily, Paul Micelli, Cassandra (Tyler) Koenig, Ellie Baily, and Sophie DeFina; 21 great-grandchildren; “adopted” son, Ron Perry; and many relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, Paul Baily.
A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, December 4th, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio 44041. Friends may call 2-4 PM on Sunday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
To celebrate her love for the Cleveland Indians, flowers may be sent in red, white and blue arrangements or memorial contributions to the family. Also, casual sports attire encouraged and welcomed…except the Steelers (LOL!)
