Betty L. Hayman, age 92, of Concord, Ohio passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Symphony at Mentor Care Community. She was born June 3, 1923 in Solon to Leo H. and Lillian (Creter) Kibler. She married Don Hayman in Claxton, GA in 1943.
Betty was a loving person. She grew up in Solon, Ohio on her family’s dairy farm. After the war, she lived in Madison-on-the-Lake with her husband and parents. They built and rented summer cottages for many years (Waverly Beach). Later, she was the administrative assistant for Lake County Common Pleas Court judges until her retirement.
She enjoyed playing golf, especially in North Carolina where she wintered at her condo. She also liked bird watching, playing cards, cats and books, her favorite being mystery stories. She was a librarian assistant at the Madison Public Library when her children were growing up.
She is survived by daughter, Donna (Jake), Collens; son Clifford Hayman; grandchildren Phillip Heath and Scott (Jennifer) Heath; great grandchildren Brad, Wes and Scott Heath; great great grandchildren Xavier Heath, sister Marjorie (Stanley) Smigel and beloved nieces Libby and Nancy. Betty is preceded in death by her beloved husband Don in 1995.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Solon, Ohio.
