Dennis C. Markgraf, Sr., 76, of Madison, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family, Saturday, February 10, 2018. He was born in Cleveland to Lawrence Sr. and Jean (Campbell) Markgraf on October 8, 1941. Dennis married Grace Hedrick on September 1, 1962.
Dennis loved anything regarding UFOs, UAPs, and extra-terrestrial life. He was fascinated by astronomy and built his own observatory. He used golf balls as ball bearings on which the dome would turn. His engineering ability crossed over to boats and ships, both model and seaworthy, and his family enjoyed sailing on Denniss homemade catamaran. Dennis loved his family and provided for them with his assembly work at Harvey Hubbell Industrial Corp.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Grace; children, Dennis (Cheryl) Markgraf, Jr., Christopher Markgraf, Susan (Phillip Drake) Markgraf, Stacey (Mark) Babic; grandchildren, David, Ryan, Katie, Brandon, Aaron, Presley, Piper, Danielle, Anthony; great grandchildren, Tibby, Atticus, Liam, Raige; brother, Larry (Jeannine) Markgraf, Jr.; sister, Jeanne Webb; brother-in-law, Lee (Norma) Hedrick; sister-in-law, Kathie First; and many loved nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is predeceased by his parents.
