Donna Gray, age 59 of Madison, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord. Born September 17, 1958 in Pennington Gap, VA she was the daughter of Roy and Shirley (Taylor) Sutphin. She was wed on May 31, 1983 to her loving husband James Gray in Claiborne, TN.

A 1977 Graduate of Jonesville High School, Donna truly loved people and had friends everywhere she went. She could often be found tending to her garden and visiting with her neighbors. She loved sewing, crafts, and shopping trips to pick out the latest purse or a pair of shoes. Donna accepted Christ into her heart while attending Faith Baptist Church in Jonesville, VA.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, James; sons, Jack and Jeremiah; father, Roy Sutphin; sisters, Anna (Tray) Marcum, Jane (Chuck) Parsons; brothers, Wayne (Lana), Daniel, and Mitchell Sutphin. She also leaves behind her 4 legged friend Ellie. Donna is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley; brother, Tom Taylor.

Friends will be received from 6-8pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. A Memorial Service will take place at 8pm following the visitation at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held in Donna’s hometown of Jonesville, Virginia on October 27, 2017 at Friendship Baptist Church. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. with service following. Private burial will take place on Saturday, October 28 at the Sutphin Family Cemetery in Jonesville.
