Dorothy Jane (nee Washburn) Nicka joined her Heavenly Father on January 28, 2014. Born February 12, 1926, she was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna Washburn of Painesville. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmohter. She enjoyed her lifelong friends and neighbors. She enjoyed playing her organ and keeping an immaculate home. She was so proud of her family.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter-in-law, Maureen Nicka of Geneva; grandchildren, Peter (Julie Cornell) Nicka of Burgettstown, PA, Major Roy (Kate Martin) Nicka USMC of Quantico, VA, and Meghan (Adam) Maclay of Conroe, TX; great-grandchildren, the late Captain Bradly Nicka (Anna Velto) of Weirton, WV, Caitlin Nicka of Harrisburg, PA, Jennifer Nicka of Fort Collins, CO, Jack and Lucky Nicka of Quanitco, VA, Patrick and Luke Maclay of Conroe, TX and great-great-granddaughter, Addison Nicka of Weirton, WV; sister, Bonnie Zuber and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband. Ernest R. Nicka, Sr.; her only child, Ernie NIcka, Jr.; sister Norma Pettit; brother, John “Jack” (Mary) Washburn, Jr. and her loving friend, John Gudis.

Family will receive friends 1- 2 PM , Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
