Gary L. ?Bobby? Powell

Memorial Services for Gary L. Powell, 61, of Concord will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio.

Gary died December 14, 2008 at Lake East Hospital in Painesville. He was born January 25, 1947 in Folsom, West Virginia to Lula Belle (Hayhurst) & Earl Powell and later moved to Ohio.

Gary worked in the nursery industry for many years, first at Bosley Nursery of Mentor for 15 years. Then he was employed by Klyn Nurseries in Perry for 20 years until his

death.

Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, large bonfires, gardening, photography and working on his computer. He liked to spend his time outdoors. Gary was a kind, gentle caring, strong man. He was loved by many.

Survivors are his wife, Sherri (Pyle Tidy) of Concord; Daughters, Gertrude (Mike) Lester & Ina (Jerry) Pennington of WV; Sons, Gary & Earl (Florence) Pritt of WV, David (Wendy) Pritt of CA and Douglas Powell of OH; Stepdaughters, Evelyn Powell of WV, Deanna May & Terri (Bobby) Maynard of OH; Stepsons, Fred & Alfred Pritt of WV and Richard Tidy, Jr. of OH; Sisters, Barbara Jones of WV, Patricia (Arty) Swiger of OH; Brothers, Jack (Frances) Powell of AL, Roger (Barbie) Powell of OH, William (Becky) Powell of WV; Sister-in-law, Millie Roth of OH & his much loved dog, Fidget. Gary had 25 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and many Nieces & Nephews.

He was preceded in death by His Parents; Brothers, Edward & Terry Powell; Stepsons, John Wesley & Roy Brent Shields and Stepdaughter, Lori (Tidy) Minnick.

Interment will be held at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, WV.
