George “Budge “Kennedy Rochford passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the David Simpson Hospice House. Born May 29, 1941 in Youngstown he was the son of the late George Rochford and Mary Alice (Kennedy) Rochford.
Budge graduated from Ursuline High School and he went to Youngstown College. He owned and operated Midwest Printing Company on the west side of Cleveland which specialized in printed tickets for concerts and Cleveland sports teams.
Refusing to follow doctor‘s orders and living life to the fullest for over seven decades, for all of the people he touched both willingly and unwillingly, his most proud achievement in life was marrying his wife Rosemary who supported him in all his glory during his heyday and lovingly supported him during their last days together. He is survived by Rosemary of 51 years; his sister Judy (Marshall) Rochford Wexler; three sons: George (Lorie Locke), Michael (Tara Wozniak), Patrick (Katie Smith); and seven granddaughters, Elizabeth, Kennedy, Olivia, Erin, Eleanor, Meredith and Addison. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister Carol (Rochford) Brown. Those who knew Budge knew he hated being fussed over and would rather give than receive. In Lieu of flowers and honor Budge’s character we ask that all who wish to participate raise a glass and toast to Budge’s favorite Irish saying “May you live as long as you want and never want as long as you live!” Papa, you will always be missed and never forgotten!!
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2846 Hubbard Road in Madison. Friends and family will be received in the gathering area of the church at 10 am.
