Geraldine C. Shaughnessy, Age 79, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 28, 2009 Geneva Village Retirement Community in Geneva, OH.

Born November 8, 1929 in Cleveland to Catherine (Corbett) & John P Corrigan she married William T. Shaughnessy in Thompson, Ohio on 8/22/1953.

She was a homemaker and a dedicated mother and grandmother and a great humanitarian. She was an avid reader, adept poet writer and was active in Birthright.

She is survived by Husband: William T. Shaughnessy of Ashtabula; 5 Daughters, Colleen (Dr. Mark) Lisch of Houston, TX, Dr. Eileen (Gerald) Leininger of Geneva, OH, Catharine (Dr. Franz Kurfess) O?Shaughnessy of San Louis Obispo, CA, Mary Ellen Hamilton of Rome, OH, RoseAnn (Neil) Biederman of Hamilton, OH; 3 Sons, Terrance P. (Noreen) Shaughnessy of St. Paul, MN, Timothy (Senni) Shaughnessy of Euclid, OH, Patrick Shaughnessy of Jefferson, OH; 11 Grandchildren; 3 Sisters, Mary (Tony) Columbro, Constance (Dick) Blake, Sr. Susan Corrigan, HHM; 3 Brothers, Donald Corrigan, James Corrigan, Daniel Corrigan.

She was preceded in death by Son, William E. Shaughnessy; Parents; Brother, Neil, John & Joseph Corrigan; Sister, Patricia McCrone

Friends will be received 5-8:00 pm Friday, October 2, 2009, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Saturday, October 3, 2009, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson.

Fr. Paul Smith, of St. Patrick?s Church, will be officiating.

Final Resting Place will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Thompson.
