Gretchen Williams, age 89 of Mentor, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Heartland of Mentor. She was born August 26, 1925 in Bradford, PA and married Raymond Williams in Kentucky on August 2, 1948.
Gretchen played banjo & bass fiddle. She was on a weekly radio show with her sisters in Meadville, PA. She enjoyed traveling to Florida & the Catskills.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Williams of Mentor; daughter, Jackie (Mike) Evangelista of Madison; son, Timothy Williams & fiance April of Wickliffe; grandchildren, Brian (Suzanne) Evangelista of Pittsburgh, PA, Lisa Edwards of Columbus, Cindi (Kevin) Kissig of Perry; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Natalie & Emily Evangelista, Braden & Evan Edwards, Adelyne & Alexander Kissig. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received 2-4 PM, Saturday, September 13, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison, OH 44057. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM.
