Harriet E. Walters, age 80, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 23, 2018 at home. She was born September 16, 1937 in Carmichaels, PA to Willa (McMinn) & Harry Rizer. On July 8, 1961, she married the love of her life, Francis B. Walters, there in the city of her birth. Harriet worked at Richmond Heights Hospital in admitting and TRW. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Immaculate Conception Church.

Harriet is survived by her husband of 57 years, Francis B.; sons, Mark E. (Laura) Walters and Jonathan P. Walters; grandchildren, Tony, Tim, Nancy, Tom, Kevin, Jennifer, Sarah, Clayton, Frank and Amanda; 4 great-grandchildren; and her beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret Curtis in 2014; and son, Francis Walters in 2017.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. Madison, OH. A Mass of the Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, with Fr. Sean Donnelly as celebrant. Final resting place will be at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels, PA. Her family wishes to thank the Great Lakes Caring Hospice for the loving care that was provided to Harriet and request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice Foundation, 5966 Heisley Rd.
