Irene Park, 92, of Andover, died July 27, 2019 at UH Geauga Medical Center. She was born November 10, 1926 in Derby, ME and married Ralph S. Park on August 10, 1946 in Cumberland, MD. She enjoyed spending time and celebrating with family. After retirement, she and her husband built their home on a hill in Martinsburg, PA, where they spent much of their time. She also enjoyed bowling; camping; and crossword puzzles.

Irene is survived by her husband of 72yrs., Ralph S. Park; daughters, Sheree (Bruce) Gilpin, Scarlett Tini, Tami Park and Marcia (Steve Winchell) McInnis; sons Terry (Kathy) Park and Roger Park; 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and a sister, Mary. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Brian, Lawrence, Lester and Claude and a sister, Ida.

A memorial service to honor Irene will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Pentecostal Community Church, 5348 Peck Rd. Jefferson, OH with a luncheon to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Cleveland, 23215 Commerce Park #300 Beachwood, OH 44122. The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. Madison assisted her family with arrangements.

My love for irene was that of a momma. I remember irene’s laughter. She and ralph would watch Johnny Carson at night and I could hear her laugh and I always thought gosh can they wait until I grow up to do that. Also one tome I needed a ride home really late one night. She got up out of bed and took me home. Irene as such a good momma. She always believed the best in her children. Actually refused to believe anything that wasn’t of good report. Example, tami and cigarettes.. irene kept saying you don’t smoke tami, why do yu say those cigarettes are yours. ???? irene believed the best for her children and in her children. Irene was a faithful woman, took her family to church faithfully. I loved irene and she will always hold a deep place in my heart.
