Janice “Jan” Elaine McNellie of Montgomery, TX, passed away from a rare infection on May 16, 2021.
Jan was born in Cleveland, OH, on October 17, 1948. Raised in Madison, she graduated from MMHS in 1966, and began working at Bank One, where she ultimately became branch manager. She served on the Madison Public Library Board and the Madison Community Development Committee for several years.
In 1977, Jan married her high school sweetheart Richard “Dick” McNellie of Geneva, OH, and together with their son, Scott, resided in Madison for many years before moving to Montgomery, TX.
Jan and Dick loved traveling the world together with friends and family, an Egyptian Nile Cruise being her favorite trip. She loved gardening and helping raise her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews’ children. Jan also supported many meaningful charities throughout her life.
Proceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jule Lander, and sister Karen (Gary) Burns, Jan is survived by her husband Dick, their son Scott (Yvette) and grandchildren Ty and Tayah McNellie of Texas. In Ohio, siblings Debbie (Doug) Ungers, Tom (Marcy) Lander, Rick Lander, Cheri Izzarelli, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends will be received on June 12, 2021, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., at Behm’s Funeral Home in Madison, Ohio.
