John A. Buss Warner, age 90, of Geneva passed away December 31, 2017 at home, surrounded by family. He was born July 1, 1927 in Booth, WV to Lucy Virginia (Smith) and Phillip S. Warner. John married June D. Montgomery in Weston, WV on September 11, 1945.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. John worked as a crane operator for Chase Brass & Copper, retiring in 1979 after 31 years of service. He loved camping, fishing, cowboy movies, gambling and his dog Suzy.
John is survived by children, John L. Warner (Linda) of Lemon Cove, CA; Kanda J. Beseda (Ken) of Honea Path, SC; Sandra L. VanKula of Ashtabula; Timothy S. Warner (Pat) of Geneva, Mark D. Warner of Ashtabula; Matt S. Warner of Jefferson, OH; Brenda L. Bernard;(John) of Saybrook, OH and Lucy E. Ames (Ricky) of Geneva and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, June in 2013; son Daniel Booney Warner; grandsons, Jason and Ronald Warner; all of his brothers and sisters and his parents.
Friends will be received Friday, January 5, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Final resting place will be Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
