Connie left a message on May 11, 2020:
Dear Mary, I wanted to tell you I'm sorry for your loss. John was my sixth grade teacher at Homer Nash Kimball. I remember I was scared of him at first (he was the first man I had as a teacher). But I soon found that he was not to be feared. I believe you and John were engaged at the time he he taught me in sixth grade. Your Mom had been my fifth grade teacher. And of course your Mom and my Mom were supposed to be distant cousins on the Wright side of the family. Something I remember about John was when my first husband died in an accident John took time out of his busy schedule to come to the calling hours. (John had taught my first husband too).I really appreciated him doing that. sincerely, Connie Rae Cromwell Thompson Malize
