Josephine M. Lustig, Age 92, of Thompson, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 Chardon Healthcare in Chardon, OH.
Born September 7, 1917 in Cleveland to Mary (Hosta) & John Lustig
She was a Co-owner & Cook at Lustig’s Restaurant, Thompson.
Josephine worked at Richmond Brothers in Cleveland as a seamstress starting in 1933. Josephine was also co-owner and cook during the 1960’s and 70’s at “Lustig’s Restaurant”, her family’s restaurant in Thompson. She was a member of Geauga Senior Center Nature Group, Slovenian Club and St. Patrick Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and traveling.
She is survived by Sister-in-Law, Dorothy Lustig of Thompson; Nephews, Vince Lustig of Charleston, W.VA, John Lustig of Calcutta, OH, Martin Lustig of Thompson, Thomas Robison of Thompson; Niece, Mary Beth (Robison) Bartlett of Columbia Falls, MT and many great-nieces, nephews and cousins
She was preceded in death by Her Parents; Brothers, John, Joseph, Vincent, & Martin; Sisters, Mary, Anne, & Agnes
Friends will be received 6-8 pm, Friday, August 27, 2010, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio and 1 hour prior to mass at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 28, 2010, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson with Rev. Paul F. Smith officiating.
Final Resting Place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
