Linda J. Carpenter, age 68, of Concord, Ohio passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at Altercare of Mentor. She was born June 29, 1947 in Paxton, IL to Laverna (Medjo) and Donald Barstow. She married Gary C. Carpenter in Painesville, OH.
Linda was very much a homemaker. She took pride in decorating and creating a comfortable and loving atmosphere, crafting and making some of the most beautiful quilts, clothing and down to earth necessities. She traveled around the Great Lakes with Gary and ventured into Pennsylvania, New Jersey and West Virginia.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Gary; son, Craig Skorich, Jr.; step-daughter, Jennifer (Joe) Tadiello; sister-in-law, Barbara (Larry) Gorka; brothers-in-law, Ron Carpenter, Yale (Tracey) Carpenter, Ken Carpenter; niece, Gina (Steve) Knaus; nephew, Eric (Kelly) Van Den Heuvel; and aunt, Claribel Copp. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elizabeth Salo.
Friends will be received 4-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River St, Madison, OH with a Funeral Service immediately following at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Mark Shearer will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be Brownwood Cemetery in North Bloomfield, Ohio.
Gary would like to thank the kind staff at Altercare of Mentor for their warm and loving care.
