Barb, Linda and Steve - I'm so very sorry to hear of Lois' passing. As you know, she took care of me and my brother Lance for many years (until Barb and then Linda took over as babysitters) and always made her home feel like our home too. And it was always a treat to start the day at her house because she spoiled us with the best cinnamon toast (which she made in in the oven), and which if I'm not mistaken, she often served us with hot chocolate. I'm sure I didn't fully realize at the time what a special situation we had, but now that I'm older and know the options for childcare for working parents, I know that we had the best possible arrangement. We went to the sweetest, nicest, most caring person's house day-after-day and she took fantastic care of us - and she was the one stuck with us when we were home sick from school too. Please know that I'm thinking of all of you and your families and that I'm wishing you many fond memories.

Linda, Barb and Steve, I am so sorry for your loss. As you know Lois was a very special person to me and my children, Lance and Merralee. She loved and cared for them as if they were hers and they are better people today for it.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Our deepest sympathies to you all. It's been many years, but most of my memories of our time in Perry begin with your mother. She always made sure this little red headed kid had a warm and safe place to come home. Lots of cinnamon toast, too. She'll be very missed, but never forgotten.
