Margaret A. Gawrys, age 90, of Madison, was surrounded by family when she passed away October 24, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 27, 1924 in Connesville, PA to John Takacs and Margaret (Champis).

Margaret was a Madison resident over 60 years, having moved here from Bedford, Ohio. She had been employed by Hi-Truck, IRC Fibers (Rayon), the Foodliner and Collin’s Grocery Store. Margaret was involved with the Madison Senior Center, and was a wonderful baker who loved creating delicious pies and pastries. She was an honest person and enjoyed gardening and raising flowers in her yard.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Rick) Brown of Milton, FL, son Henry (Jean) Gawrys of Geneva; grandchildren, Rich (Denise), John, Darlene, Krissy (Mark), Kathleen, Mike, Chrissy (Dave); great grandchildren, Zach, Elise, Brandon, James, Noah, Matthew, Kelly, Alexandra, Issabella, and Christian; great great granddaughter, Bethany; brother, Lewis Takacs of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry; sone Richard Mayor; brothers John and Albert Takacs.

Friends will be received from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. Funeral service for Margaret will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 28th at the funeral home.

Final resting place will be Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
