Mark A. Newton, 52, of Thompson, passed away unexpectedly at home, November 4, 2016.
Mark was born January 16, 1964, in Euclid, Ohio the son of the late Retta Fisher and Paul Newton, Jr., and had remained a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Mentor High School Class of 1983.
He worked for the past six years at Dillen Products in Middlefield. Mark was an avid Browns Fan, and enjoyed weightlifting. He also enjoyed traveling and showed great interest in castles, and old creepy buildings that are often known for their paranormal activity. He enjoyed boxing and most of all he loved to make everyone laugh.
Mark is survived by his sons, Quentin and Zackarie Newton; step-children, Justin, Alyssa, Dakota, Cheyanne, and Sierra; sister, Kathy (Gary) Tepley; brother, Jeff Newton; nieces and nephews, Brandon, Melanie, Brian, Michael, Jake, Joseph, and Alex; as well as many great-nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Newton and Retta Jasko; and his grandparents, Freda and Joe Fisher, and Paul and Geraldine Newton.
A Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2016 at Lake View Cemetery, 12316 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106. Please meet by 10:45 a.m. at the Euclid entrance.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Thompson Township Community Center, “Town Hall” on the Square from 5 8:30 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2016.
Contributions may be made in Mark’s name to the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center, online at www.cleveland.va.gov/giving.
