When Mary Lou first moved to Madison, she roomed at our home on North Ridge. Since that time, I have considered her "friend." I am so pleased to read about her many accomplishments in the school system and community at large. I moved from the area and had not seen Mary Lou in a long, long time. but am grateful to know how she served the Northeast Ohio area. Thankful for her life and blessings to all her family and friends, Barbara Keyse Rockow, Phoenix, AZ

Mary Lou was my teacher in Madison. She did help to instill a love of history in me. My first job was teaching in Madison and Mary Lou was a big help to me. I taught the same subject she did for eight years and she was a terrific mentor. We went to Florida to visit her family during spring break one year. I ended my my teaching career in Cincinnati but when I moved back to Madison I enjoyed seeing Mary Lou again and she gave me good advice on candidates running for local offices. I did visit her at the Lantern and she was always so upbeat! I will miss her a lot!
