Mary Lu Pocatko, age 70, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015. She was born April 10, 1945 in Cleveland the daughter of Harold T. and Mary G. (Chaloupka) Ormsby. Mary Lu married Jerry Pocatko in North Olmsted on September 28, 1968.

Mary Lu graduated in 1963 from North Olmsted High School and went on to teach keyboarding at the Ormsby School of Music. She was a member of the North Olmsted Art League. An avid bowler, she taught bowling at Tri-C and bowled on many championship teams. She enjoyed helping her daughter, Kellie, with her photography business. A talented artist and crafter, she enjoyed traveling to craft shows with her family. Most recently Mary Lu was active in the Madison Community Improvement Corporation, organizing the yearly Christmas Craft Bazaar, the Village Crafters on the Square and the daily activities during Light Up the Park.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry; daughter, Kellie Pocatko; brother, Richard (Karen) Ormsby of Westlake; sister-in-law, Nancy Ormsby of Bay Village; aunt, Elsie “Babe” Liplin of Hambden Township. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Ormsby.

Friends will be received 6- 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
