Mary Nagle Smith, age 89, of Madison, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at her home. She was born August 24, 1931 in Ashville, PA, the daughter of Robert James Maloney and Margaret H. (Hoover) Maloney.
Mary served in many capacities, including head baker at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, manager at Midway Drive-In in Ashtabula, head waitress at the Big K Truck Stop and she also worked at Pre-Mix Fiberglass. She owned and operated Deenie’s Delights with her second husband Bob Smith. She enjoyed bowling, polka dancing and was a talented crocheter.
She is survived by daughters, Cynthia M. Hoplight, Patricia (Frank) Drummond, Bonnie (Peter) Noce; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sanford A. Nagle; her second husband, Robert B. Smith; son, Michael Nagle; daughter, Pamela Federer; her parents and 13 brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received 5-8 pm Monday, February 22, 2021 Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison. Service will be 11 am Tuesday, February 23rd at the funeral home. Guests are required to follow current pandemic guidelines, wear masks and practice social distancing. Final Resting Place will be Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Kingsville.
