You have my deepest condolences on your loss. The Apostle Paul wrote at 1 Corinthians 15:26 that ‘death is an enemy’. This is so true, because death robs us of friends and loved ones, but we can take comfort in his words recorded in the book of Acts 24:15 “that there is going to be a resurrection”. The Apostle Paul was not only talking about the things he saw but also repeating what the Lord Jesus Christ said as recorded at John 5:28, 29 that there would come a time “when all those in the memorial tomb would hear his voice and come out.” These words can bring us the comfort that we will be reunited with our loved ones in the near future. A future where there is no more pain, suffering or death (Revelation 21:4). This is a promise from Jehovah God (Revelation 22:6).

And my God his love for Veterans immeasurable! He always put things in perspective, always have you something to think about. Whether it was Doc or angry Doc....... His passion for the everyday person. Thank you to his family ...for sharing him with the rest of us. There is a lesson here for all of us.....but we may never know exactly what that lesson is.....just one more thing he has given us to think about. Love and prayers to you all. A loyal listener in PA

I worked with Doc at WMJI in the 90's. One night, thinking that I was alone in one of the production studios, a hand suddenly appeared from behind a reel-to-reel machine to scare the daylights out of me. Of course, it was Doc's hand and Doc's laugh that I heard as I tried to compose myself. He also liked to hide behind corners of walls so he could jump out and scare me that way. One night, I saw a shoe protruding from the corner of a hallway and as I walked toward it I thought, "I finally got him!". I triumphantly exclaimed "Aha!" as I pointed to his shoe while drawing closer. The champion of the station's shenanigans apparently had lost a little off of his fastball and was sloppy with his evil plan. Just as I was about a step away from a shoe that I could now see had no one wearing it, I heard a loud "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"... Doc had jumped out from the other side and again, scared this dumb boob who had fallen for the trick. I had to respect the joke, even if I was the butt of it. Grateful that I hadn't soiled myself, I couldn't help but laugh with Doc. Those fun, and funny, times with Doc are what I've been thinking about since I've learned of his passing which although tinged now with sadness and loss, I can still remember fondly of my time working with him at WMJI. My sincerest condolences to his family, friends and fans. When I enter heaven, I will look to both sides of the pearly gates as I cautiously walk in and if St. Peter should ask me what I'm looking for I will say, "a shoe, St. Peter, a shoe!". -Nick Tozzi

I started listening to Doc when he first went on TMB. At first, i wasnt sure about the show. And then it grew on me quickly. Doc was funny and didnt take anything too seriously. He was fearless but also compassionate. He was genuine and possibly one of the most funny entertaining educational shows ever. Doc was great. His laugh was infectious and his humor was awesome. When he left the blaze, i admit i was sad. But not as sad as today. A good man with a solid voice has passed. He has left behind a family and the world seems just a bit colder tonight. Sic semper evello mortem tyrannus, doc.

Mike and Yuna were better together than peanut butter and jelly. They were more like ice cream with a decadent topping (whatever your favorite—that would be the one.). One of my favorite love stories of all times belong to them. Their engagement had obviously been a plan in the works for sometime. I believe Mike had asked for Yuna’s hand in marriage from her family and that had been blessed. A ring had been purchased. It was finally the weekend to propose. Except the bank where the ring had been kept in a lock box was closed! To hear Yuna tell the story, Mike was determined this was to be the weekend so he spent an untold amount of cash emptying a gum ball machine to get the big giant ring in temporary substitute for the ring in the lock box. I love this story! While Mike’s earthly journey is complete, I know he will be an angel forever for his beautiful family.

To the family, friends and co-workers of Doc my heart breaks for you. He fascinated me, his talent, his humor, his satire, his sarcasm, and his razor-sharp wit were all unmatched in the industry. Doc was, by far, my favorite radio show host. He was both loving and genuine with his fans and family, and scathing in his criticism of evil and hypocrisy, of which there is far too much in this world. He taught me to be consistent, even when it hurts. He helped me to have a thicker skin. He allowed me to laugh at times when there was little to laugh at in the news of the day. I met him once, briefly, and have always wished I had gotten to know him personally. I think he was the kind of friend everyone really wants in their life. He even went so far as to try and help me get a job at TheBlaze by introducing me to all the top people, including Glenn. He was as good a friend as anyone could ever hope for. A few years ago Doc featured my brother on 'Building America' and I was happy to tune in... Morning Blaze became my daily staple, as his authenticity and 'let's not take ourselves to seriously' approach are rare finds. Long a conservative but not always resonating with republican party lines, Doc helped me puta handle on my libertarian heart... and he seemed to truly desire to be his best and bring out the best in others. Undergirded with professed faith in Jesus Christ as Lord – and continual humor. It makes no human sense that God would allow such tragedy, much less to an outstanding person of influence like Doc. I'm praying for Yuna and their boys, for their needs to be met and arms to love them through, and that they would run to the foot of the cross with every emotion and grief, and find that God is faithful. Praying too for comfort to abound to Kris, Skip, Brad, and all who knew Doc and are hurting with his passing. "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Every morning at 6am, I would tune in to The Morning Blaze with Doc and Skip. Through snow storms, bus rides, car rides, births, moves, new jobs, Doc’s voice was always in my head. He started MoJo 50, and I swore to follow him wherever he went, because I’d gotten so used to his humor, his passion for people and the truth, and his listeners. These past few days I’ve learned how great a man he was, so giving of his time and knowledge and skills to help others. My mornings will never be the same, as there never will be another Doc Thompson. My deepest and sincerest condolences, as we are all with you in this difficult time. My heart was torn apart hearing of my friends passing. We never met in person but he has been with me daily for years. We shared a sense of humor and quick wittedness that kept me glued to the radio. Describing his dog and the puddles he found while removing the baseboard of a cabinet in the kitchen was priceless. A real guy doing real guy stuff, describing real guy thoughts kept us laughing. Doc’s passion for our military and vets, for honor, for common sense, and for liberty was simply amazing. A family man, man of God, and a man of freedom. Thank you Michael for blessing me with your time and thoughts. You are deeply missed.

I started listening to Doc around 7 years ago when I still lived in Germany. I immigrated to the US in 2013 and was excited to hear he'd be in Topeka the following year at a Kris Kobach event. I drove down there to meet him and Skip in person. The following year I started my own business. Everytime it didn't go as planned I listened to Doc whose love for small business remotivated me. I was hoping to one day be on a Building America segment, when I was ready to expand my business beyond state lines. I already miss hearing him in the morning! Good night Doc Thompson, wherever you are!

Doc, I had been listening to you since your first day on the Blaze. I was fortunate enough to call and talk to you multiple times and even meet you in person in Atlanta back in 2014. I can’t express to you(and I wish I could now) how much of an impact you made on me and helped to change my perspective on things and perspective on life. When I heard about your passing all I could do was think this was a horrible prank. I am still struggling with accepting you being gone. I was also fortunate enough to watch your last show live not knowing it was your last show. I am at a complete loss of words and I just can't express just how sad I am not to to hear your voice in the mornings. You will forever live in my thoughts and memories. I shall miss you greatly Doc. Your family has been in and will continue to be in my prayers.

I never met Doc, but I listened to him nearly every day. I own my own business in Papillion, NE: the smallest of small businesses, with me being the only employee. Doc’s passion for small business, his interviewing people who have succeeded, and his enthusiasm to help people like me was inspiring. He let us into his life and gave us so many laughs. The chemistry he had with everyone else he worked with was amazing, and was always surprised when Skip, then Cal, then Kris, then Brad took over and he made them part of the show and it never missed a beat. I love all those guys too! I can only imagine how tough it must have been on you the last several years when Doc was gone so much of the time. It was obvious he wanted to eventually make life better for you all, and I really believe great things were going to happen for him. I lost my dad last year in April. I miss him every day, but I’m no way want him back on this earth, because I know he is in heaven with Jesus. There’s no pain, no struggles there. From what I’ve heard from all week of listening to people talk about him, I believe Doc is there too. It is my prayer that you can feel the Holy Spirit lift you up over the next days, months, and years. I could feel people praying for me and holding me up when my father passed away. Imagine how many prayers are being said for you!

Doc was one of my favorite hosts to work with, in the advertising business. I always knew he would get it done and was looking forward to partnering with him as Mojo grew. On one of my visits, to Dallas, we drove around running errands and I witnessed his frightening multitasking skills, while he took calls, maintained our conversation and dodged cars on the freeway. Heaven has a new voice, an amazing one and we all will miss his presence. I pray for his family, friends and colleagues, that you will be consoled by your great memories and the knowledge that he is entertaining a higher audience. Ben Pratt TheBlaze

For so many years, Doc has been the best friend I never met. Every day on the radio or on podcasts - if he was subbing for someone I didn’t usually listen to I’d listen just to hear his humorous and irreverent take on things. He has been my favorite radio host since the first time I heard him and over the years at the Blaze and Mojo he introduced me to other great people, great products, great causes, and of course, his great family. Yuna, you and the boys are in our prayers. The world has lost a wise, talented, and extraordinary man. We mourn with you. Our pain cannot compare to yours but please know how much the people who loved Doc without meeting him love you and the boys. I was thrilled when he got his own show on the Blaze and I followed him to Mojo. Doc and Skip brought laughter into my life again, after my son committed suicide. On days I was completely devastated, he made me see that I could still laugh and live even when life seemed hopeless. His generosity to the small businesses and Veterans around the country was inspiring. Thank you Yuna for sharing him with us. I have you, his boys, his family and close friends in my prayers. Doc wasn't born here in Richmond, VA, but we consider him one of our own! As a host on WRVA, he left a mark on this town in so many wonderful ways. He wasn't just a radio host or a celebrity -- he was down in the trenches side-by-side with the rest of us. He inspired many people to step out of their comfort zone to be more and do more than they ever imagined! I was dumbfounded and absolutely crushed to learn the news on Wednesday. I also loved when he filled in nationally especially one day in particular, I had just moved to Florida from Virginia and was trying to learn my way around when I turned on the radio and heard Doc’s voice... It gave me a comforting feeling and reminded me of the afternoon show that I had tuned into in Va. for years, usually when picking my son up from school. I sent him a quick message telling him that and his response was so cool.... He said “Hi Lori Lange!?” and we exchanged well wishes since he was just starting at The Blaze with Glenn Beck. After that we had somewhat of a disagreement online regarding a certain subject, but he always let others express their opinions without shutting them down and he was respectful. He will be very missed..... My thoughts and prayers and deepest sympathy to his family, friends and co-workers as well as all of his faithful listeners.

I left with Doc. he was high-larious. he made me laugh, and find a way to understand my feelings on politics andlife. he is in a better place. those of who never met him can someday. those who knwe him and particularly his family will again be with him. I was proud to donate $20-same as down town.

Doc was everything that every other broadcaster wishes they were. His broadcasts should be studied by those wanting to do a conservative libertarian podcast as a master class. God bless you sir, and God be with your family. Sic semper tyrannis! Good night Doc Thompson, wherever you are! Indiana Mike

I never met Doc but I feel like I knew him like a brother. 6 years I listened, laughed, got angry, and laughed some more. This world lost a great man, and heaven gained a angel. My heart goes out to his wife, kids, coworkers and everyone he touched.

I first heard Doc on The Blaze radio. I was taken by his humor and quick wit. I loved getting up in the morning to hear him. He made the dry everyday seem fresh and full of humor. I know my sentiments won't dull the pain you are feeling from this loss, and it's a big one, but I hope you know how much he touched and meant to so many of us. His life was so wonderful and he lived it to the fullest. If only we could stop time and go back wouldn't it be great but since we can't I will try to remember the happiness he brought me when I heard him on the radio and cling to the fact that his life was not a waste but had a huge impact. I have been so sad since i heard the news. I will try not to be in the coming days as i remember the fullness of his life. I am going to go listen to his podcasts to try to fill my heart with good memories. Prayers for peace for you all.

I followed Doc for years-from Richmond drive time to Ohio, Detroit, The Blaze and finally Mojo50. On 2 separate trips to adoption trips to China, it was comforting to find Doc and Skip and laugh- a taste of home when it was just me and my baby. He made me laugh like no one else. His relentless drive to be better made me want to be a better person too. We are praying for the family.

Doc has been able to express what I’m thinking perhaps more than anyone but in an incredibly entertaining, informative, and profound way. For that reason, I’ve always felt like I’ve been listening to a member of my own family, and now mornings are never going to be the same without his goofy sense of humor. I can only offer my eternal thanks to Doc’s family and friends for sharing him with the rest of the world. Good night, Doc Thompson....wherever you are.

Its with great sadness that I write this, "Doc" even though I never met him made me feel a part of his life, almost family. His deminor came across as inviting as he wanted to be a friend to everyone he touched. The years I listened to his radio broadcasts gave me information, laughter and comfort. His belief in what people could accomplish has made me strive for more than I would ever would without him. All I can say about Michael "Doc"" Thompson is that only a person with such high morals and love for family and people could influence so many to want more out of their lives. My heart goes out to his family. God give you comfort and strength and know Michael did more for those he would never meet then then long friends ever could

Like so many, I thought of Doc as I friend I never met. He started my every day with thought provoking insight, laughter, and a genuine belief that in our great country anything is possible. He will be remembered. Praying for the peace that passes all understanding for his family and friends.

Some lights burn too brightly for this world, so The Father calls them home to light His house. Doc’s light will always leave a halo on earth in the smiles and eyes of his children, and those who love him. And, I’ll never be able to eat spotted dic.....

Doc wasn’t just some guy on the radio. He created a culture that is made up of likeminded strangers who have become a family. I take comfort in the fact that he is in a better place now and I know I will see him again someday when God calls me home.

Like so many others, I never met "Doc" in person. However he did visit with us every morning for years. Before the Blaze was even a thing. We followed him to MOJO. We couldn't imagine mornings without him. We still can't. Yuna, you are in our prayers daily.

Doc was my favorite part of the morning. He was the reason I joined Twitter, so that I too could be a Jackhole and occasionally make him laugh with a comment or 2. Doc loved America and the American Dream, and used his talents to help others achieve their American Dream as well: he was what was right with America. Doc touched so many people, and will be missed greatly. His influence was strong and I know those closest to him will carry on his legacy. I wish I could have met him in person, but I’ll just have to wait until later. Tom “Smirking Jackhole” Folsom
