Michael Joseph Vrana, born November 23, 1956, passed peacefully on August 22, 2020 at the David Simpson hospice house surrounded by love.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Francis (Herb) & Vivian Vrana. He leaves to mourn; his sister, Jill Judd (Dennis), his niece Alyssa and nephew Joseph, his daughters, Claire and Audrey Zehnith and the mothers of his children Keli Zehnder and Deb Smith. Michael also leaves a wide circle of friends who loved him dearly because he was a selfless and kind man who was available to anyone who needed anything.
Michael grew up in Willowick and graduated from Eastlake North High. He was a member of the 1975 State Championship Wrestling Team. Michael was a master carpenter, a brilliant photographer and a seeker of knowledge. He was also so humble that he would never admit to any of his gifts! He didn’t use a lot of words, unless he was writing. He always listened to others first before offering his opinions, which were often grounded in science not emotion. He loved his family and friends deeply and was always willing to show up when needed. His life ended way too early and we will all miss him dearly. Know that Michael is off taking pictures of insects and finally not worrying about what he is eating! Enjoy the next chapter Michael, we will all be ok.
Friends will be received at a Celebration of Life, to be held 2-4 P.M., Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Fat Cats, 2061 W. 10th St., Cleveland, OH.
