We found this picture on the roof of an addition he helped put on our home in the late 1990s. What a great guy. Our sympathies for the loss of this wonderful man.

My sincere condolences to Jill and her family. I last saw Michael when he was a teenager. He showed us his pet tarantula. I also attended your wedding, Jill. I am so sorry for your heartache. Virginia "Trixie" Vrana

After listening to Mike's tribute, I truly appreciate the time that I had being with him as a co-worker and a friend. The sentiment that he did the right thing no matter what, is so true. He was a great example of how to live your life by taking care of others. I spent so much time in his building working and hanging out. I'll always treasure those memories!

We met Mike 20 years ago, and he guided us through several home renovation projects over the years. We valued his creativity, artistry and problem-solving skills. We have some beautiful carpentry projects in our home, thanks to him. We still quote some of his funny quips about people and places. Our deepest sympathy to his family and friends. ---Patty and Steve Roberts

In 6th grade Mike and I played the Hawaii 5-0 theme song over and over in the band room at Willowick Jr. High when Mr. Hughes was Band Director. LOL. Mike played trumpet back then and I wailed away on piano. Mike was the bridge between the sports freaks and music nerds. His interest and energy in wrestling made us all try it. As I read the obituary, I realized he was that same person back in that band room: quiet, spoke softly, had a great laugh and did love all things. After moving to New York I lost track of him. I am sorry for that. Mike: I am still a monster piano player so I will play Hawaii 5-0 this weekend and remember our good times. RIP MIke
