Born November 19, 1924 in Madison to George and Jessie (Taylor) Balch, she Married Blair Close on July 5, 1945 in Geneva
Phyllis was a graduate of Madison High School. She worked as a clerk at Carlisle?s Department Store and also as a beautician. She liked to volunteer, particularly for Meals on Wheels and at Geneva Hospital.
Survived by Daughter, Doreen Close of Pickerington, Ohio; Son, Dennis Close of Madison; 9 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Janet Moore of Geneva
Preceded in death by Her Husband Blair, Son David, Parents, and Sisters Jean Balch and Ann Znidarsic, and Brother William Balch
Friends will be received 9:00 to 10:00am on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Behm Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison. Funeral Service will follow at 10:00am at the funeral home
Final Resting Place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Madison
