Robert “Bob” Miklavcic died after a short, but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer in Cleveland on May 7, 2016 at the age of 64. Bob was an incredibly kind and generous man who both loved animals and was an avid hunter. He loved his family deeply and would travel to celebrate birthdays, weddings, graduations and baptisms of his nieces and nephews.
Bob is survived by his brothers, Frank(Rosie) Miklavcic of Frankfort, KY and John Miklavcic of Thompson; his sister, Mary Jo Miklavcic of Euclid; nieces and nephews, Angela Miklavcic Brandon (Justin); Gregory (Jennifer) Miklavcic; Laura (Chris) Tomlin and Ann Marie Miklavcic; great nephews and great-nieces, Reed, Caroline, Emily, Quentin, Ari and Jozi. He also leaves behind numerous friends and his dog, Socks. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Miklavcic.
Bob was born on June 30, 1951 in Cleveland. He graduated in 1969 from St. Joseph High School in Cleveland. A lifelong mechanic, Bob worked at Western Electric, Towmotor and All Lift Services over his career. He also owned and operated his own farm.
Friends will be received from 2 – to 4:00 p.m. and 6 – 8:00pm on Friday May 13, 2016 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road in Thompson. The family would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic staff and Hospice for their care.
