Robert worked as a Carpenter for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 0095
He married Joyce Coppock in 1949
A Graduate of Mentor High School Robert served in the US Army during WWII. A Prisoner of War he was captured in Germany and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Western Reserve Chapter. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and spending time with his dogs.
Robert is survived by Daughter: Gail Kunkle of Florida, Son: Michael Clause of Oregon
Grandchildren: Deborah Watson, Matthew and Benjamin Kunkle and Chelsea Clause
3 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandson
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Joyce, and 2 Sisters: Eleanor Lamers and Virginia Clause
Private family services will be observed.
Final Resting Place will be at Perry Cemetery
