Thomas E. Ontko Age 59,Resident of Austinburg, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 at home in Austinburg, OH.

Born October 2, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio to Thelma (Adeline) & Joseph Paul Ontko

Retired from Ohio Department of Transportation in 2005 after 30 years of service.

Thomas served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He then went on to retire as a Sergeant First Class from the Ohio Army National Guard. He was the past President of the Ashtabula South County Republican Club. He served for a year as the President of Austinburg Country Days. He loved traveling and has been to Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and South America. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by Wife of 40 years, Fran (Samples) Ontko of Austinburg, OH; Daughters, Wendi (Maj. Peter) Munson of San Diego, CA & Delilah Passov of Austinburg, OH; Grandchildren, Riley and Lauren Munson, Kyla Snodgrass, and Kamryn Passov; Brothers, Joseph Ontko of Florida, George (Dawn) Ontko of Columbia Station, Robert (Erika) Ontko of Perry, OH; sisters, Bonnie (Robert) Hyduk of Strongsville, OH & Betty Ann (John) Hopkins of N. Ridgeville, OH; Godson, Theodore Ontko of Perry, OH; Grand pup, Snoopy ?Skippy?

He was preceded in death by

His Parents; and Sister, Sandy Clark-Brinkman.

Friends will be received 2-4:00 and 7-9:00 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2010 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OHIO

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the funeral home.

Final Resting Place will be at Austinburg Center Cemetery in Austinburg, Ohio
