William C. Walters, age 90 of Geneva, Ohio, passed away December 19, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born August 9, 1928 in Blacksville, WV to Carl and Edna (Knisley) Walters. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953, and on August 1, 1953, William married Mary Statler.
William was a very hard worker. He enjoyed going to camp in Pennsylvania, and in his younger years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife. Most of all, he loved his wife and family.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Walters; his sons, David (Patty) Walters, Gary (Claudia) Walters; grandchildren, William (Lindsey) Walters, Ryan (Sarah) Palm, Brendan (Natalie) Palm, David Palm, Candice (Donnie) Reed; great-grandchildren, Rhett, Madison, Andrew, Maylee, Jackson; sister, Betty Walters; and brother, Charles (Thelma) Walters.
A graveside service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery officiated by Rev. Betsy Schenk. Contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
