Janet A. Burns, 80 passed away peacefully into the tender hands of God on August 1, 2013. She was born on January 14, 1933 to Ralph & Arlene (Fink) Daniels.She was preceded in death by her husband Blaine; infant son; parents; sister, Marlene Rayl; brother James Daniels, and grandson Logan Buterbaugh. She is survived by daughters, Charmin (Bud) Wolfe of Madison OH, Shawn (Tim) Buterbaugh of Meyersdale PA; grandsons, Christopher (Amanda) & Daniel Wolfe, T J, Cory (Jessica), & Lane Buterbaugh; sisters, Frances White, Shirley (James) Otto, Sherie Daniels; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family & “special friend” Russell. She was a resident of Thompson for over 50 years. She was a member of Thompson United Methodist Church. She retired after many years of service as Clerk of Thompson Twp. & most recently served as Treasurer of the Public Employee Retirees, Inc. Chapter #86.

She loved to travel and collect Beanie Babies & snowmen figurines. She loved flowers, feeding the blue birds, and enjoyed watching the deer & turkeys that would visit her yard. Janet also enjoyed watching movies and the Indians, and she made the best homemade pizza and lasagna. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved Frank Sinatra and giving angel pins to her friends. We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful Mother & Grandmother. Her greatest love was her family & she enjoyed watching her grandsons’ sporting events & activities. She was a very generous, kind, patient, loving woman. She will be forever missed by all who knew & loved her. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Thompson United Methodist Church, P.O. Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the funeral home. Pastor Tom Gruver of Thompson United Methodist Church will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
