Linda Paulus, 66, of Madison, Ohio passed away on July 19th, 2018, at TriPoint Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on April 26, 1952, to Joseph and Sophie (Hovanec) Si(ecko)wski. Linda graduated from Jefferson Area High School in 1970, and from Kent State University with a degree in Nursing in 1984. Linda was a registered nurse for 34 years, and was also a nursing instructor at Knoedler School of Practical Nursing at the Ashtabula County JVS. During her career, she worked at a number of hospitals and nursing homes, including the former Huron Road Hospital in Cleveland, where she was a cardiac care nurse. Linda was a passionate animal lover from a very young age, and also enjoyed reading, cooking, cross-stitch, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Gerald, whom she married on June 22, 1988; her son, Nicholas; sisters Dawn Bleau and Mary (Eli) Hostetler; nephews John (Stephanie) Bleau; Brian (Jamie) Bleau; niece Annie (Laura) Hostetler; great-nieces Lexi, Ava, Mady, and Addie; great-nephew Dylan; and many cousins. A memorial mass will take place at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Rd., Perry Ohio at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 30th. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family if desired. The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio 44057 is assisting the family.

Linda was one of the most compassionate people that I was blessed to know in my nursing career. It was always a pleasure when she brought her Knoedler students to the inpatient units at Geneva Medical Center. Rest in peace for eternity. My prayers and sincere condolences go out to her family.

So very sorry for your loss, what an incredible human being she was, my favorite Knoedler instructor, not only did she teach "nursing skills" but she taught seeing the patient as a whole and maintaining their dignity.
