Richard Gavin passed away on Sunday October 26, 2014 at David Simpson Hospice House, after an extremely courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Worthington, Ohio on June 2, 1960, to Russell and Patricia (nee Harvey) Gavin.

Rick was a member of the American Legion Post 112 in Madison, Ohio. He loved life, and enjoyed golf, bird feeding and watching, summertime, his patio, and Labatt’s Blue.

He is survived by his best friend, Debbie Wallace; brothers, William (Jana) Gavin, Patrick (Tammy) Gavin; nieces, Brianna and Katelyn Gavin; nephew, Connor Gavin; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Tom Gavin. Rick will be greatly missed….

Calling hours will be 1pm to 4pm Sunday, November 2, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio 44057. Private family burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, 44110.
