Theodora “Teddy” E. Hoffman, age 90 of Madison, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014. Born October 1, 1923 in Thompson she was the daughter of Pelegia (Luda) & Boleslaus Bandelewski. She married her high school sweetheart Harlan Hoffman in Madison on November 30, 1943. They were happily married for 70 years.
A 1941 graduate of Thompson High School, Teddy worked as a riveter during WWII. She also worked as a secretary for Hoffman Oil Company in Chardon. A member of Immaculate Conception Church she was also a founding member of Hilltop Circle. Teddy was an amazing cook and enjoyed entertaining and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing cards, fishing and dancing. The family takes comfort knowing Teddy is once again together with her Husband Harlan.
Teddy is survived by her Son, Thomas Hoffman of Madison; 2 Daughters: Sandra (Frank) Krasneski of Geneva and Patricia (Dr. Guy) Syversten of Pepper Pike; 6 Grandchildren: Tina, Jake, Heather, Jonathan, Ryan and Diana; 5 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Eleanore Landphair of Geneva and Brother, Frank Bender of Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband Harlan in 2013; her Parents; 3 Brothers, Joe, Henry and Edward; and 3 Sisters, Helen Moore, Gertrude Abrams, Charlotte Bandelewski.
Friends will be received from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, in Madison.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison.
Final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
