William “Bill” Bagshaw, age 81, of Madison, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born January 29, 1931 in Cleveland to Rose M. (Stafanic) & William E. Bagshaw and married Nancy Roberts on October 29, 1971 in Timberlake. Bill was a carpenter with Local #95. A 1949 graduate of Willoughby Union High School, Bill served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a lifelong member of the American Legion. He was a very gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor. His family meant everything and he enjoyed tending his family farm.
Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy Bagshaw of Madison; daughters Nancy (Jeff) Gouch of Chicago, Lynn (Brad) Nicholson of Rock Creek, Jennifer (Aaron) LaBoe of Perry; son, Troy (Maria) Bagshaw of Chicago; daughter-in-law, Karen Bagshaw of Geneva; 12 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, James William Bagshaw; 2 grandchildren and his parents.
Friends will be received 2-5 pm, Sunday, January 27, 2013 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH with a Celebration of Life at 5:00 pm.
Final resting place will be Madison Memorial Cemetery.
