John W. Laskowski, Jr. age 49, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017. He was born to Rebecca Fowler and John W. Laskowski, Sr. in Geneva, Ohio on June 10, 1968. He was the loving companion of Jill Lenk of Rome, Ohio for many years.
John went through Madison Schools. He went on to become an Iron Worker and member of the Iron Workers, Local 17. He also worked as a mechanic and tow truck driver. He was a Friend of Bill for 7 years. In his youth he loved fast cars and riding motorcycles. He was known for his sense of humor and always knew how to make a person feel better. He liked fishing and taking walks with Jill by the creek. Most of all he enjoyed being home with the dogs and cat.
John is survived by his loving companion, Jill Lenk; stepsons, Callahan and Caden Henderson; mom, Rebecca Kerry; sisters, Renee Coppola, Margaret (Tom) Pivonka, Michele (James Neely II) Laskowski; Step-brother, Frank Laskowski; Jills parents, Judy and John Lenk; nieces and nephews, Rebekah, Jennifer, Brandy, Hank, Naomi, Lily and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Laskowski Sr.; his papa, Jamie Kerry, who raised and loved him as his son; his niece Stephanie.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, OH 44057. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
