Nora Jean Wilson, 87, of Geneva passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 17, 2016, while at home and surrounded by her loving family. She was born Dec. 9, 1928 to Zenna (nee Rector) and William McCurdy, and married Everett “Ab” Wilson on June 4, 1950.
Nora was an active member of the United Church in Geneva, where she served as Sunday school teacher, Deaconess, and council clerk. She was involved with Friends of the Library and really enjoyed quilting and cooking. Her pies were her specialty.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Cook; beloved sons, Scott Wilson, Jeff (Denise) Wilson, Kelly (Theresa) Wilson; many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister Rosa McCurdy.
Nora is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Everett; parents; brothers Ron Rector, Billy McCurdy, Bobby McCurdy, Tim McCurdy, and infant brother August; step daughter Stephanie Graham.
Friends will be received 12-2pm Wed. Sept. 21 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041. A funeral service will follow at 2pm celebrated by Pastor Bryan Manary of the United Church in Geneva.
Final resting place will be Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
