Thomas E. Martin, 71, of Madison, Ohio, passed away at his home Wednesday, November 3, 2021. He was born July 12, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio. He leaves behind his daughter, Lauren (Michael) Wojciechowski; grandchildren, Mathew, Mason, and Maverick; sisters, Valerie Lawrence and Pamela Ruggiero; brothers, John T. Ruggiero and Dante Ruggiero; his dear friend Shawna; and many loved nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Tommy loved most music- especially the 50- 60’s, the Beach Boys, the early Beatles, Elton John, and, yes, even those country crooners, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Jr. He especially loved the beach Boys “She’s my Little 409” and “Little Deuce Coupe” … and could expertly mimic all of the car sound effects to boot! Needless to say he was quite fond of fast cars, with a notable love for Corvettes! Tom was also a great fan of the old-style classic Hollywood movies! He cherished and loved all furbabies, dogs and cats alike and treated them as though they were kids and they loved him back as well! Tom was also known to be an excellent home chef. He thoroughly enjoyed cooking all types of food, but he especially loved Italian food. He genuinely took much pride and pleasure in preparing meals for those around him. Perhaps, of all his redeeming and, yes sometimes, quirky qualities, the most important to be remembered about him is this: If you were Tom’s friend, and you needed something, he would go out of his way to help you, he’d give you the shirt off of his back. That was “Just the type guy he was!” This is the singular endearing quality that will always remain most cherished. Friends and family will be received 2-4 pm Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison with a Memorial Service to follow at 4 pm.
